Want to find romantic things to do in Aruba for couples? Despite being just 20 miles long, the small island of Aruba is a perfect getaway with plenty to do! Its scenic sunsets, clear Caribbean sea, and laid-back vibe are ideal for leaving worries (and arguments) at home and creating new memories with the one you love.

Book a Romantic Casita for You and Your Special Someone

Enjoy romance and privacy at a gem like the Boardwalk Small Hotel Aruba, near Palm Beach, Aruba Noord. This newly renovated hotel offers gorgeous casitas with personal hammocks, patio tables, and cooking grills.

The house itself offers a cozy living room, cheerful interior design and decorations, an ultra-comfortable mattress, and an extra-large standing shower in the studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

Swim Under the Sunset on a White Sand Beach

You can’t enjoy the romantic things to do in Aruba for couples without going to the beach!

The beaches in Aruba are always lovely, but they are even better when the crowds thin out and you get the area to yourself. With my Boardwalk Small Hotel key card, we were able to get free beach chairs in front of Moomba Bar and came out to watch the sunset.

Splash around while the creeping dusk paints the sky romantic shades of orange, yellow, red, and pink.

Rent a Car and Explore the Island

Grab the reins and surprise your partner with a day trip exploring the island. Car rentals are extremely affordable (you can find prices for under $50 per day) and you’ll love the seclusion.

Head to Arikok National Park for historical sites and natural pools and bridges, or find your adventurous side with a kite surfing activity at Hadicurari Beach or snorkeling at the Antilla shipwreck.

Escape to Renaissance Island

The Renaissance Resort Hotel near downtown has its own island where you can find pink flamingos and iguanas roaming around freely. Book a day pass (about $100 per person) and enjoy a speed boat trip onto the island, a romantic couples massage in a cabana, and serene silence around you.

Have a Drink at the Lighthouse

The lovely concierge team at the Boardwalk Small Hotel Aruba said it best when they recommended the ultimate romantic hotspot that locals love:

“When in Aruba, do as the Arubans do and drive up to the California Lighthouse. Especially at night, this site attracts romantic couples that park their car at this elevated area to enjoy the magnificent skyline of the well-lit Palm Beach high-rise area.

Bring some chilled drinks and your favorite music and transform your car into a romantic lounge with excellent views of the most northern tip of the island.” — Boardwalk Small Hotel Aruba

Enjoy your couple’s vacation on Aruba’s happy island!
