Romantic WARM Valentine’s Day Vacations in the USA
You’ll love these romantic Valentine’s Day getaway ideas with warm weather in the United States.
1. Florida Keys, Florida
Just 15 miles south of Miami, you’ll find the Florida Keys. This collection of small islands makes for the perfect warm Valentine’s Day getaway. Enjoy sunny days on the beach with your Valentine and you’ll spend your vacation sporting a true glow.

If you’re feeling adventurous, take a catamaran ferry out past Key West to the Dry Tortugas. This small island is home to a fortress (previously a Civil War-era prison) surrounded by water! You can spend the day swimming, snorkeling, and exploring the fort with your Valentine.
For something a little more traditionally romantic, take a sunset cruise with complimentary champagne off the coast of Key West. Or, enjoy a romantic dinner of Caribbean fare by the water at Morada Bay restaurant on Islamorada.

Here you’ll find the ultimate Valentine’s Day resorts and days full of sunshine. It’s the perfect place to warm up on your romantic Valentine’s Day getaway.
For a unique romantic experience, you could take a nighttime paddle-boarding tour out to Peanut Island. There you can watch the moon rise over Palm Beach from the surface of the water.
Palm Beach is home to luxury boutique hotels like The Colony Hotel, a stunning blush-pink destination. Relax in colorfully styled rooms or sip on a cocktail to live music at one of their handful of designer cocktail bars and restaurants.

3. New Orleans, Louisiana
While you’re looking for the most romantic Valentine’s weekend getaways in the South, consider New Orleans.
You’ll find plenty to do in the Big Easy, since they start celebrating Mardi Gras on February 5! Across the city, you’ll also find events for Black History Month and Valentine’s Day — so plenty to explore in NOLA even without Mardi Gras.
You could take a stroll through City Park under 200-year-old live oak and Spanish moss canopies, or take Solange-level photos in front of colorful houses. Then dance the night away along Frenchman Street, or aboard The Creole Queen riverboat on a jazz-themed dinner cruise. For the adventurous couple, take an airboat tour to the Bayou and learn about gators!

4. Santa Barbara, California
With its Mediterranean-like weather and Spanish-revival architecture, you won’t be able to ignore the romance on a Valentine’s Day getaway to Santa Barbara! This mission city is full of history, views, and wineries.
One of the best things to do in Santa Barbara with your Valentine is to go on a wine tour of the Santa Ynez Valley. Just get picked up by the shuttle at your hotel and enjoy the scenic views and good wine!
Santa Barbara has many picture-perfect beaches, but Butterfly Beach makes the perfect backdrop for a sunset picnic. Layout a blanket on soft sand with the cliffs and palm trees behind you. Enjoy a glass of champagne and a great view!

For a warm Valentine’s Day getaway, Texas is always a great choice. The entire city of San Antonio offers resort vibes while allowing you the conveniences of a big city! Head to one of the great Valentine’s Day resorts nestled along the San Antonio River or out in the Hill Country.
For a creative and romantic dining experience, book a riverboat dinner cruise for two along the San Antonio River. It takes a little planning ahead, but they help you with every decision, and you’ll never have another experience like it!
If you like to dance, I suggest checking out Jazz TX for their Valentine’s Day show with a full dinner menu. They’re in the basement of the recently revitalized old Pearl Brewery in the heart of downtown San Antonio.

8. Kiawah Island, South Carolina
Located 25 minutes south of Charleston, head to Kiawah Island for the ultimate Valentine’s Day getaway. Here, you can enjoy being secluded with your love.
Part of the appeal of Kiawah Island is the convenience of getting on the water. Have fun and rent jet skis that launch off Cherry Point Landing. Together you both can have an adventure, exploring the waterways around the island.
There are also a handful of spas on the island you can check out. I recommend booking a couple’s massage at Urban Nirvana Day Spa.

9. Savannah, Georgia
There’s just something idyllic about this next warm Valentine’s Day getaway destination. Savannah is full of rich history, vibrant architecture, and delicious food — a perfect couple’s getaway year-round.
To see what I mean, just head to the 200-year-old Forsyth Park with its cobblestone walkways and breathtaking old live oak trees.
For a little romance, walk around the fountain at the north end of the park. It’s a popular spot for people to get engaged in case you need any ideas!
If you seek a good southern meal in an intimate setting, go to the Olde Pink House. This 18th-century mansion-turned-restaurant serves up classic “Low country” cuisine.

Bluffton is a sweet little town between Savannah and Hilton Head Island. It’s a quaint small southern town with lots of historical plaques.
It’s also the perfect place for a Valentine’s weekend getaway when you just want to be alone.
Keep your love in the clouds with a scenic helicopter tour, or have a romantic dinner at Oak Terrace at the Rose Hill Plantation.
If you’re looking for a perfect place to stay, check out the Montage Palmetto Bluff. This is a popular location for weddings, and it’s not hard to see why. This romantic destination has southern charm, 5 individual restaurants, and a spa. Book a suite or cottage with a screen-in porch looking out onto Spanish moss trees.

12. Charleston, South Carolina
For a warm Valentine’s Day getaway, consider Charleston, South Carolina. This lovely southern city is a charm with colorful buildings, horse-drawn carriages along cobblestone streets, and sandy beaches. It is also a place we from the Northeast like to visit in the US to escape the freezing winter — even if it is not super hot during February.
For your romantic getaway, I recommend taking a walking tour together through downtown Charleston. You’ll stroll down cobblestone roads surrounded by palm trees, rainbow-colored buildings, and adorable shops.

You can take the Road to Hana tour. You’ll enjoy the breathtaking waterfalls along the way and can even go for a swim with your Valentine!

14. Lanai, Hawaii
Lanai off the coast of Maui is technically part of Maui, but it’s a completely different feel. Head to Lanai for adventurous activities if you want to do a bit of Hawaii island hopping and snorkeling sailing trips.
Book a Jeep at the Lanai Car Rental in Lanai City and drive 30 minutes north to Shipwreck Beach where you can check out an old, grounded ship and Hawaiian hieroglyphs!
