Just when I thought I’d given up on staying in hostels – completely over the crowding, low-quality service, dingy mattresses, and suspect linens – I encountered the Park Villa Boutique Hostel in London. Now we all know that London isn’t cheap, so while I would’ve loved a fancy hotel, I needed something affordable.

I stumbled upon Park Villa Hostel in London by chance and did not regret it. It was only two months old when I stayed there, so here is my review of how it went.
Park Villa Boutique Hostel Background Story
The Villa is a recently restored Georgian home that has been in owner Zaeem’s, family for decades. He had the brilliant idea to renovate the home and its attached coach, invest in completely new plumbing and appliances, and transform it into a boutique hostel.
Zaeem walked us through the entire property to share how his new idea – to bring service and hospitality back to the hosteling community– has taken form. Check out how he is separating himself from the rest:

The London Location
The Park villa boutique hostel is located right off the Mile End tube stop in East London and connects with both the central and district lines. It was easy to get to the tube, although not super close to the main attractions.
The Hostel rooms
Zaeem personally had a hand in designing the Park Villa hostel bunkbeds and ensured each one was equipped with lock storage (locks available for purchase), an overhead lamp, and a charging outlet.

The beds themselves are beyond trendy and colorful: they are actually sturdy and TALL! You can finally sit upright in a bunkbed without knocking your head off.

The beds also guarantee a comfortable night’s sleep, set up with high-quality linen and thick, comfortable mattresses. Lock storage under the bed offers extra convenience.

Are you obsessed with London’s Park Villa hostel yet? Well, I definitely WAS.
Final Thoughts
As a great tourist in London, I’d finish my long walking tours, exceed my 10,000 steps, and want to run back to my cute hostel room so I could lay in my ridiculously comfortable bed and adore this impressive abode. I knew there were basic kitchen amenities in case I needed it, and a clean place to retreat to.
