If you are thinking of finding wellness resorts in Thailand or planning a comprehensive Thailand wellness vacation but don’t know where to start, this guide can help you! Wellness getaways are a great way to recharge and reset, and many countries in Asia are known for their ancient wellness traditions.
South Asia, including Thailand, is one of my favorite places to visit for a self-care getaway. But it can be overwhelming when it comes to planning because there’s so much to choose from.

As an expert wellness traveler and Wellness Getaway Guide author, I can recommend many regions and wellness resorts in Thailand for your trip. I’ve even previously been invited by the Tourism Authority of Thailand to stay up-to-date on their latest wellness trends and advancements.
This wellness resort guide will suggest cities, provinces, and regions you should consider for a wellness retreat in Thailand, and spa and wellness resorts to visit throughout those regions.
What types of Wellness Offerings Are In Thailand?
Thailand is known for its healing yoga retreats, spa resorts, and of course – Thai massage! But the country’s wellness activities and programs go beyond that.
People come to Thailand to visit Regenerative Medicine Centers for anti-aging treatments, LGBT+ wellness care, dental work, cosmetic surgeries, Muay Thai camps, and more. In this guide, I’ll focus on places with spas and holistic wellness.
What Makes Thailand A Great Wellness Destination?
In Thailand, you can enjoy the combination of Thai Spiritual Culture (Dharma practice), the traditional Thai massage (which has been granted UNESCO Cultural Heritage designation), fresh Thai cuisine, and traditional Thai herbal medicine.
On top of that, you can find many wellness escapes at a fraction of the price compared to the United States. This makes having 5-star experiences in Thailand much more attainable.

Where To Find Wellness Retreats In Thailand
There are many regions and provinces in the north, south, and on the islands of Thailand with great wellness retreat options.
Before selecting a resort or retreat, You might want to decide on a province or city for your Thailand wellness vacation first. This is especially helpful if you already know what time of the year you want to visit (so you can navigate the rainy season – or strategically use that time to get the best prices).
