Looking for Latin-owned restaurants in Philadelphia with delicious Latin food? This guide will help! The Latin community is an integral part of the spirit of Philadelphia and vital to the city’s thriving culture.

I lived in Philly for years and have been able to support diverse Latin-owned and -inspired businesses across every industry—especially in the arts, culture, and food scene of Philadelphia.

While you can enjoy Latin cuisine at events like National Latin Heritage Month, celebrating Latinidad at La Feria del Barrio, as a Boricua it is important to me to seek out Latin-owned businesses year-round.

Latin-owned Philadelphia restaurants can expose you to new flavors; they’re influenced by Spanish, African, Indian, and Indigenous cuisine, and that’s just naming a few!

Below you’ll find a list of a few of the tastiest Latin-owned restaurants in Philadelphia.

Through her food, Marquis honors her roots, serving up Latin-inspired recipes, all vegan! You can enjoy tostones, tacos, empanadas, and excellent cocktails. Watch my video on the experience here.

At Bar Bombón you can expect the highest quality ingredients, largely organic and locally sourced. Come for brunch at 10 AM on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant is also open until either 9 or 10 PM throughout the week.

For Latin-owned restaurants in Philadelphia that fulfill your sweet tooth, support a humble family-owned business in North Philly at La Caribeña Bakery. They make a variety of baked goods from across Latin America but mostly from Puerto Rico.

Stop by for warm Cuban bread, Puerto Rican donuts, and more. Or grab some hot coffee and guava and cheese empanadas. They are open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM.

10. Porky’s Point Restaurant

📍 3824 N 5th St, Philadelphia, PA 19140

Serving North Philly since 1974, Porky’s Point has many loyal customers who come back year after year. Try this Puerto Rican dive and you’ll understand why. It’s a no-frills walk-up with a menu that looks like it has been there the entire 40 years!

This place is as authentic as they come with pernil, morcillas (Puerto Rican blood sausage), and pig ears. The pork sandwiches are what steal the show — though I also love their Alcapurria and Bacalaitos too!
